Enforcement of Chinese 24 hour Advance Manifest Rule
Though the China 24 hour rule was first introduced in 2009, its compliance was not mandatory till now. Regulations require carriers to submit vessel manifests for China bound cargo 24 hours before loading at ports outside. Shippers will be requested to submit complete and correct shipping instructions earlier than current timings.
China Customs will start with the implementation of the new China Customs Advance Manifest (CCAM) system effective from 28th of June 2014.
